About Me

I’d like to share a little bit of background about me, so that when we speak, and I hope we will, you have a better idea of who you’re speaking with.

During my 40-year career in retail automotive, I always wanted to know what was most important to my client. These questions were frequently asked by new clients before they purchased:

  • Do you really care about what’s important to me?
  • Can I trust you?
  • Are you going to be considerate of my time spent with you?
  • Are you going to help me invest in the car I want, not the one you want to sell me?
  • Are you going to be here for me after the sale and take care of me?

Even after retiring from the automotive industry, I still talk to a number of my clients. Many have become friends for life.!

Why I Chose to Help Seniors with Health Insurance

Working a full-time job has its benefits, paid vacation, promotions and of course, health care. I never gave much thought about health care in my 30’s, 40’s and 50’s because it was part of my “Benefits Package”. In fact, my plan was to work well into my mid 70’s and just continue with company health insurance. Boy was I wrong! I didn’t understand what Medicare was and when I tried to figure it out, I became confused! At work, I could go to HR and get help, but who was going to help me with Medicare?

When I was about to turn 65, I was referred to a Health agent who walked me through the steps of enrollment. After signing up, I was still unsure about what I enrolled in, so I decided to become a certified Health Agent, specializing in educating myself, my future clients on their retirement healthcare options. I ended up changing my own plan coverage. This experience was a blessing, inspiring me to learn everything I could about Medicare and become a professional health advocate for seniors. Helping and serving the senior community has given me the opportunity to share my personal experience while educating Medicare eligible seniors and assisting them in choosing the plan right for themselves.

As a Medicare specialist, I continue to ask my clients what is most important to them and do my best to simplify a complex program that best suits their needs. I look forward to serving you!

A Hui Hou,
Alan Young

The plan you choose is a personal decision based on cost, convenience, and health history. Consider the following questions:

  • What am I willing/able to spend on premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and copays?
  • Does the plan I’m considering have all the benefits I’m looking for?
  • How important is it to me to have vision, dental, and hearing services covered?
  • Am I okay with having a restricted list of providers and hospitals within a network?
  • Do I feel comfortable using this plan to manage any chronic health conditions I have?

Let’s work together and find the best plan at the best price.

Take a look at the FAQ section below, then call me with your questions. I’d love to help you!
